Always Something New . . .
You think you’ve seen this before, but you haven’t – not really. You saw my journal page about the Winter Weeds here, but this is something new, surprising, and strange.
I love things that are new, surprising, and strange, don’t you? Continue Reading
Love Is In the Air . . .
What have I been up to?
The new Art Garden Sketchbook Group has 48 members already and I think it is going to be a great place for sharing – especially as we get on into gardening season.
January is a month when it is pretty sleepy downtown, so I take the opportunity to spend studio time creating things for the gallery. Obviously, Valentines Day is coming up and hearts and jewelry fit the mood – especially combined. Continue Reading

Oops!
The following is a page from one of the lessons in my new workshop. It’s something I teach in my retreats and students often say it’s worth the whole price of the retreat.
I think this is the most important thing I ever teach anybody, because it can be an art life changer. Continue Reading
Art du Jour – Playing with Light and Reflection
Working with glass was a logical addition to working with watercolor for me because both are all about color and light and reflection. Continue Reading
Countdown to Creativity . . .
I hope that none of you missed my post on the Whatever Blog about my most exciting workshop ever. It’s all about creative thinking instead of just drawing and painting techniques, although there are some of those, of course. How could I not?!
But the idea here is that you never again sit there and say you have no IDEAS. Continue Reading
